Heather Blue Harkovich
Heather Blue Harkovich
Owner, Associate ASID

Chosen by Austin Monthly readers as the city's "Best Interior Designer" and named to Austin HOME Magazine's list of "Who to call for interior design help," Heather Blue Harkovich is an award-winning residential designer whose signature style has been described as "Classic, Serene, and Chic." Her work has been featured on TLC and HGTV television programs and published in Austin HOME, Big Sky Journal and HGTV magazines. Heather recently worked as lead designer for the award winning Southern Living Custom Showcase Home and the 2014 Parade of Homes in Austin. Heather’s distinctive creative vision is shaped by her world-class education: she attended boarding school in Switzerland before returning to the US to study at Vanderbilt University, where she earned a Fine Arts degree (BA) and acquired a comprehensive knowledge of international art history. This foundation of cultural and educational experience, combined with her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and her Interior Design certification, represents a dynamic marriage of creative vision to business acumen, which drives Heather to create rooms that are always as uniquely beautiful as they are functional and organized.

Her time living abroad--both in Switzerland and in England--exposed Heather to elite fine art and interiors, and it instilled in her a sophisticated sensibility that clearly translates to her own design projects. But it is her understanding of the luxury market, cultivated through her 10-year career creating award-winning advertisements for Jaguar cars that has allowed Heather to truly understand how to cater to any client’s most discriminating tastes.

Heather opened her Austin, Texas design firm and retail store, Heather Scott Home & Design, in 2006 with her husband Scott. Her remarkable skill for creating trend-setting retail vignettes has earned the firm’s recognition as winner of the ARTS award for Best Home Accents Store mid-west/south-west and Top 50 Retail Star. From her design studio, Heather provides her clients—in Austin and beyond—with unparalleled, turn-key custom design service and classic, chic interiors.

Raquel Skrobarczyk
Raquel Skrobarczyk
Lead Interior Designer

Raquel Skrobarczyk has long believed that it is the little things in life that matter. This lifelong passion for attention to detail carries through in her design work and allows her to create inspired moments through the spaces she creates. During her nine years of design experience Raquel has worked in model home merchandising and high end residential design. She collaborated on the design of a 2009 Mueller Parade Home winning 8 awards including "Best of Show." Before joining Heather Scott Home & Design she worked independently designing interiors for vacation, ranch and downtown condos and homes.

Raquel is adept not only at the mechanics of CAD work, but also at the lost art of hand sketching, which can bring a project vision to life. She developed both these skills while at Texas State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (CIDA accredited) and a minor in Art. During this time she also lived abroad and had the opportunity to refine her design eye and study the arts in Italy.

Raquel's passion for designing and transforming spaces using her artistic skills allow her to create welcoming environments for a wide breadth of commercial and residential projects.

Vanessa Nobley
Vanessa Nobley
Lead Interior Designer

Vanessa joined the Heather Scott Home & Design team following a twenty-year stint living in the mountains of Park City, UT. A graduate of Indiana University, she began her career in real estate before flipping houses and then transitioning into a full-time career as an interior designer.

Wanting to learn more about the entire design process, Vanessa worked for two Park City firms focusing on high end residential design. One firm was geared toward fast finishing and furnishing of secondary residences and the second was focused on creating innovative spaces that were functional and unique. It is fair to say her design experience spans a breadth of client needs.

Having lived in the mountains most of her life, traveled the world seeking other cultures, architecture and the arts, as well as continually making it a priority to study and learn new things, Vanessa’s passion continued learning and development shows through in the creative nature of her design work.
